Broker's Comments
Waquiez Yachts were often referred to as boutique and it is not difficult to see why from the overall lines and interior fit. Coming from the drawing board of Holman and Pye, it is not surprising that these yachts are reported to be well balanced under sail and suitable for both experienced cruisers and novice sailors alike. The boat's construction and lines reveal her traditional seagoing pedigree, alongside respectable sailing speeds and characteristics. This version is a great opportunity for single handed and or family use. With some limited updating and fettling, this boat will provide an attractive platform to cruise near or far, in traditional style and comfort.
This particular Centurion was cruised extensively until 2016 (including a round Britain trip in 2005 and 2 later visits to the Baltic) but has been laid up ashore since 2017 and now requires some routine recommissioning and small repairs. The price reflects these deficiencies, but any purchaser willing to give the vessel some care and attention will be rewarded with a comfortable vessel capable of extended cruising.
