Boatshed Plymouth interviews local marine furniture repairer
As yacht brokers we do try to help out wherever we can but occasionally you get asked a question about boats which you’ve never come across before so when one of our customers recently asked us about repairing some damage to interior woodwork on a boat we needed to ask a few questions to find out who could do this locally in Plymouth.
Thankfully it wasn’t long before Paul Johnstone of Marine Techniques popped his head round our office door with a portfolio of his work. Paul’s main line of work is in the repair of woodwork on boats, he can repair, re-spray, lacquer or varnish back to a factory finish. In fact he does a lot of work for Princess Yachts who have a large factory in Plymouth producing their range of power boats. Paul is also able to undertake GRP repair work and can get boat names and graphics made up or, as he is a trained sign writer can paint them on himself.
Paul is very happy to do small repairs so if you do have a scratched table or someone has left a wet sail leaning against the bulkhead for a few weeks give him a call or drop him an email. He’s happy to work on boats in the whole Plymouth area including South Hams and East Cornwall.
